Shami is a long-established family business, which started in 1959 when it was founded by Saif Al-Din Al-Shami, which was then called Al-Manara Metal Industries, and was a pioneer in its dealings and industry. This prompted it to expand after the increase in demand and the addition of electrical appliances and tools to become Al-Manara for Metal and Electrical Industries in Damascus countryside. In 2000, the company moved to a larger factory in the city of Adra near Damascus in conjunction with the addition of the Shami brand to link the product name to the family name, maintaining its commitment to serving its products with the best standards. Shami has become renowned for its attention to customer service and its management team's strong commitment to providing innovative solutions in its products. Today, the company manufactures its products in factories in both the Syrian Arab Republic and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
